Salame Milano ( Milano Salami ) is a special salami made in the Milan area in northern Italy.
Milano Salami is the best salami sold and most used in Italy, even Italy’s favorite salami. Only the finest lean and fatty Italian pork is used. The meat is ground to the size of a grain of rice, seasoned with salt, garlic, cracked black pepper and ground white pepper. The maturation process is one of the longest and varies from 3 to 9 weeks, depending on the diameter of the salami, to achieve a good consistency in the fat and lean parts. The most extraordinary characteristic of Milano salami is its sweet and mild taste. The slices are light ruby red with a clear harmonious aroma and a mild, creamy taste. It is gluten-free and therefore has the symbol of crossed wheat grains. Contains no milk or milk derivatives.
