A new project from Olivier Bernard of Domaine de Chevalier, Clos des Lunes produces dry white wines from the Sauternes district of Bordeaux. Lune d’Argent is the reserve level, produced from 70% Semillon and 30% Sauvignon Blanc.
Offers an enticing warm shortbread note out front, followed by white ginger, white peach, clementine and Jonagold apple flavors. Lush in feel, presenting a hint of toasted brioche on the finish. This should win some fans for sure. 70 percent Sémillon and 30 percent Sauvignon Blanc. A new wine from this estate. Best from 2015 through 2017.–JM, Wine Spectator 91 Points
