Ingredients:

  • 1 box elbow macaroni
  • 355 ml evaporated milk
  • 3 eggs
  • 8 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 200 gr shredded cheddar cheese
  • 100 gr shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 2 tablespoons feta cheese, crumbled
  • 115 gr provolone cheese, cut into small pieces
  • 50 gr smoked gouda cheese, shredded
  • 4 teaspoons salt, divided
  • 2 teaspoons black pepper

How to make : 

  1. Preheat oven to 180˚C
  2. In a large pot or dutch oven, cook macaroni according to package directions, salting the water with 2 teaspoons of salt. Drain and return to the warm pot.
  3. Add butter to warm macaroni and mix until melted. Season with the remaining salt and pepper.
  4. Add half of the cheddar cheese, mozzarella, provolone, gouda, and feta cheese. Mix well.
  5. Add eggs and evaporated milk, mix until fully incorporated.
  6. Transfer to a medium-sized baking dish and top with the remaining cheddar cheese.
  7. Bake in a preheated oven for 40-45 minutes, until the top has nicely browned.

2. Sausage, Egg and Cheese Twice-Baked Breakfast Sweet Potatoes

Width= Sweet potatoes are a rich source of fibre as well as vitamins and minerals. Combined with cheese, recreate this cheese recipe that’s not only yummy but also so filling!

Ingredients:

  • 1 sweet potato
  • 85 gram sausage
  • 15 ml milk
  • 15 gr cheese
  • 2 eggs
  • Parsley (garnish)

How to make : 

  1. Preheat oven to 205 degree Celsius
  2. Clean sweet potato and place on the prepared baking sheet. With a fork poke 4-6 holes evenly around it
  3. Bake for 40-50 mins or until soft. The skins should be slightly wrinkled. 
  4. While it bakes, brown and crumble sausage in a large skillet over medium heat for 5-10 mins. Reserve 1-2 tbsp sausage grease and drain the rest. Set the sausage aside. 
  5. When finished baking, remove from the oven and let cool for 5-10 mins. Then slice in half. 
  6. Using a spoon, scoop out the insides of the sweet potato and place them in another bowl. Leave only just enough potato flesh around the edge. Place it back to the baking sheet and set aside. 
  7. Mash the removed flesh, pour milk and sausage grease. Add cheese and sausage to the bowl and fold in until combined
  8. Now scoop your mixed ingredients back into the potato that you have set aside. Crack an egg on top of it then bake for another 20 mins. Garnish & serve.

3. Breakfast Grilled Sandwich

Ingredients:

  • 8 whole eggs
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp pepper
  • 30 ml milk
  • 2 tbsp butter
  • 8 slices colby cheddar cheese
  • 12 strips cooked bacon
  • 8 slices thick sliced white bread

How to make:

  1. Whisk eggs, milk, salt and pepper.
  2. In a large pan on medium heat, melt 1 tbsp butter and pour the egg mixture into the pan, rotating while it cooks, to make sure the egg cooks evenly.
  3. When it begins to bubble flip and repeat. if it breaks don’t worry, just try to keep them in large pieces. about 3 minutes on each side.
  4. Place the cooked egg on a plate and clean that pan. Place cheese on each slice of bread, then enough egg to evenly cover the bread, along with 3 strips of bacon.
  5. Add a little butter on each slice of bread.
  6. Cook on the same pan over medium heat. About 3 minutes on each side covered. Adding a little water to create steam will help melt the cheese faster.
  7. Cut diagonally and serve. Enjoy!

4. Perfect 5-minute Cheese Omelette

Ingredients

  • 2 eggs
  • 1 tablespoon butter
  • 2 tablespoons whole milk
  • 1/8 teaspoon salt (to taste)
  • 1/8 teaspoon ground black pepper (to taste; or white pepper)
  • 2 to 3 small mushrooms (sliced, sautéed; or filling of choice)
  • 25 gr grated cheese
  • 3 tablespoons fresh herbs (chopped; reserve some for garnish)

How to make :

  1. In a bowl, crack the eggs and whisk until even. 
  2. Heat your pan over medium low heat. Add butter and let it melt. 
  3. Add milk to egg and season to taste with salt and pepper. Continue whisking for a few minutes or use a mixer to beat as much air as possible into the eggs. 
  4. Pour the eggs into the pan. Don’t stir but let cook for up to 1 minute. 
  5. Gently flip the omelet, then add mushroom and cheese lined in the middle of the pan over the egg. 
  6. Fold into half, garnish to serve.
